Terms of Service

Welcome to Walking L™ (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Walking L™ is a shared shopping list application that allows users to create, manage, and collaborate on shopping lists in real time.

By accessing or using the Walking L™ app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Walking L.
You are responsible for all content you create, share, or manage within the app.
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with system functionality.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.
Walking L™ is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including reliability, availability, or accuracy.

Subscriptions and Payments

Walking L™ may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. All payments are processed through third-party platforms such as Google Play or the Apple App Store. Subscription pricing, billing, renewal, and refund policies are governed by the respective platform.

We do not directly process or store payment card information.

Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This section explains what data we collect and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication method.
App Content: Shopping lists, items, stores, and shared list data.
Usage Data: Device information, app performance, and interaction data.
Location Data: Approximate or precise location (if permission is granted) for store discovery and notifications.
Notification Data: Information required to send app notifications and alerts.

How We Use Information

To create and manage user accounts
To enable real-time list sharing and synchronization
To provide store-based features and nearby location notifications

Third-Party Services

Walking L™ uses third-party services to operate the app, including:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging)
Google Maps and Google Places APIs
Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and Facebook Login

These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Location Data

Walking L™ may request access to your device location to provide store search features and nearby store notifications. Location data may be used while the app is active and, if permitted, in the background.

You can control location permissions through your device settings at any time.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted service providers as necessary to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, or protect user safety.

Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary to provide the service. Data may be deleted or anonymized upon account deletion, subject to legal or operational requirements.

Account & Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Walking L™ app or by contacting us.

Before deleting your account, please transfer ownership of any shared shopping lists if applicable. Deleting your account may result in loss of access to lists you created or manage.

Account deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days.
